PAULA VINCENTI (Buenos Aires, Argentina,1969)
Based in Marbella for more than twenty-five years, she is a versatile creator with a consolidated career. Her work stands out for a marked personal style, where trough photography, painting and collage she portrays a feminine universe with a fresh aesthetic full of irony and self-criticism.
Her work has been exhibited in important Spanish art galleries such as La Clave in Murcia, the Polígono Gallery or Yusto/Giner in Marbella, in New York with Sylvia White, the Uncommon Choises, in the Fabien Fryns Fine Art of Los Angeles or in the F2 Gallery in Beijing, participating in international art fairs such as ArteMilano and JustLX. She has presented her work to the CAC Málaga, Joaquín Peinado Museum, and is represented in important private and institutional collections such as the Unicaja Foundation and the Benetton Foundation.
With a retro-chic aesthetic, the most recent work of Paula Vincenti is an amalgam of ideas; an eclectic puzzle of geometries and almost baroque figuration that, although they interact from stridency to create an acidic and sparkling language, converges on the surface in a harmonic way to unravel and try to understand aspects of today’s society that interest the artist.
